Originally there were 2 types of membership:-
- Registered Member
- Full Member
This is no longer the case.
There is no differentiation now as enough funds were kindly donated be the original Full Members and we have secured a server
that now has minimal running costs.
- To keep our special Elefants going after all these years requires some dedication
on your part and access to information for us all which is where the website comes
in. There are a number of bikes out there unregistered or falling in to disrepair.
The CEC website allows us to collate the vital information about our machines, more
specifically manufacturing dates, members location details so when we visit other
areas we can meet up and help each other out, have a drink or just have a chat.
This information is private and will be kept as such and can only be accessed by
a member. Some detail, like VIN numbers will not be displayed except to the member
who owns the bike. However the database will lookup to give you manufacture dates
of bikes with VIN numbers on either side of yours so that you can find out when
your unregistered bike was built etc.
- Registered Members have access to the parts catalogues available either on-line or
for download your choice.(nearly complete)
- A Registered Member can have his / her own webpage/s available to registered logged in members only
so details are not picked up by robots.
